Aiguille du Midi - Vent du Dragon

Chamonix has been sitting in a cloud for the last few days and its been miserable weather wise. The Midi had been closed for two days due to high winds and snow but yesterday it opened up. We headed off for the Vent Du Dragon after seeing some pics of it on “Es Tressider’s blog:http://www.es-on-ice.co.uk/- full on winter conditions up there which made for some pretty slow progress as there was a ton of snow to clear. We ended up doing a ‘direct’ version of the route which led up a hard mixed pitch and then two very loose pitches to regain the top of the Proffit-Perroux.
