Pre de Bar- Charlet Ghilini

Headed up for the Charlet-Ghilini two days ago with Will Sim. Good conditions on both the Droites and Courtes for the moment. Things dont seem to have changed at all since we last climbed the Colton-Brooks which was in excellent conditions back then. The shrund looks passable on the LHS without too many problems. Otherwise the end of the Argentiere basin is also in pretty good nick. Madness tres mince is looking great for the moment as are some of the other classics such as Petit Viking. High res Pic here of the basin. The routes below the Triolet are also looking good. Charlet-Ghini was in pretty good nick but there was some delicate mixed in the middle section as well as a bit ‘missing’ from the first steep ice fall- however there is some good tat and pegs there so its very well protected.
